Frankincense Ritual
To burn your frankincense, place a small amount of salt into a heatproof bowl.
Place a charcoal puck on top and light the charcoal, allowing it to heat until glowing and covered with a light ash.
Place a piece of frankincense resin onto the hot charcoal and allow the aromatic smoke to rise.
Breathe deeply.
Slow down.
Set your intention.
Allow the fragrant smoke to move through your space as you meditate, cleanse and prepare your home, altar or temple for ritual.
Frankincense is particularly beautiful to incorporate into ceremony, meditation, prayer and devotional practices. Burn it before a Blue Lotus ritual to help create a sacred atmosphere and mark the transition from the everyday into ceremonial space.
