Smoke Cleansing

Sage · Palo Santo · Sacred Smoke

Smoke has been used across cultures and traditions for centuries as a way of cleansing, preparing and consecrating spaces.

Within TEMPLECRAFT, smoke cleansing is a ritual of transition.

A way to clear what feels heavy, create space for what is wanted, and consciously prepare the home, body or temple for meditation, ceremony and sacred practice.

White Sage Smudge Stick

Californian White Sage
Organically grown & sustainably wild harvested in Southern California.

These sage bundles are 10cm x 2cm & are $11 each.

With its fresh, herbaceous aroma, the smoke is traditionally used to cleanse homes, sacred spaces and ceremonial environments, helping to create a sense of clarity, purification and renewal.

White Sage has been cherished for generations within traditional cleansing practices, and continues to be used as a sacred plant for clearing and preparing spaces.

Light your sage with intention and allow the smoke to gently move through your space. Use it as a ritual of release, clearing away stagnant energy and creating room for positivity, clarity and balance.

Beautiful before meditation, ceremony, ritual or simply when your home needs an energetic reset.

Palo Santo

Sacred Wood · Peru, South America
Ethically & sustainably harvested
These Palo Santo Sticks are 10cm x 1.5cm & are $7 each

Palo Santo, meaning “holy wood”, is a deeply respected aromatic wood traditionally used for cleansing, ceremony, meditation and spiritual ritual.

Its warm, woody and subtly spicy aroma creates a beautifully grounded atmosphere, making it a wonderful companion for ritual and ceremony.

Our Palo Santo is naturally harvested from fallen branches and naturally aged, allowing the wood to develop and concentrate its beautiful aromatic oils over time.

Burn Palo Santo to cleanse and refresh your space, settle the senses, clear the energetic atmosphere and prepare yourself for intentional practice.

It is especially beautiful before entering meditation, ceremony or ritual, or as a way of closing a sacred practice and returning gently to the everyday.

Working with Sacred Smoke

Light your Sage or Palo Santo and allow the flame to catch briefly before gently blowing it out, allowing the fragrant smoke to rise.

Move slowly and intentionally through your space, allowing the smoke to reach the corners of your room, altar or ceremonial space.

There is no need to rush the ritual. Let the smoke be a reminder to pause, breathe and become present.

Always burn responsibly. Use a heatproof vessel, keep burning botanicals away from flammable materials, children and animals, and never leave burning smoke unattended. Ensure your space is appropriately ventilated.

Smoke cleansing is a spiritual and ritual practice rather than a substitute for medical or professional treatment.
